Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author also a model, actor and author. The actress is famous for films like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). She was raised by an artist family in New York and wanted to pursue a career in artistic fields. In the beginning she was employed as an assistant in photography. In the future, her career shifted into directing and modeling. Her first two movies got noticed and earned her recognition with the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw's movie Love Story was an international smash, and earned her the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. With just three movies, she became the top female box office actress in the entire world. In 1972 her hand-footprints and autograph were engraved at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw has been married three occasions.
